Aggies sign top recruit

The competition for the starting quarterback position just got much hotter...Can Travis Cox claim the spot, or will the new freshman be the new jewel of the Aggie offense? Or will it be someone else...

TheInsiders (http://scout.theinsiders.com/a.z?s=208&p=8&c=1&nid=261358) is reporting that Leon Jackson, a top rated quarterback out of Long Beach Polytechnic High School has verballed with the Aggies, and will be announced officially tomorrow.

Jackson could potentially be the highest rated recruit to join the Aggies in a long time, and was apparantly being recruited by Kansas and Washington State, but did not receive offers from either school for whatever reason.

Jackson led his team deep into the playoffs in the fall while passing for 2900 yards and 33 touchdowns.  The year before he saw little playing time as he was backing up the quarterback on the team, which was ranked #3 by USA Today.

UStateAgs.com, and the people of Logan welcome Leon Jackson to Utah State University.

We may have found our quarterback of the future.
