MWC Week 9 Power Rankings

The top two are still undefeated going into their epic matchup...

1. TCU (9-0) (5-0)
Beat up on lowly UNLV and now get to travel to Salt Lake City. Beat the Utes, and a BCS bowl game is a given, with the national title game a very good possibility.
2. Utah (8-0) (5-0)
Not their best performance on Saturday against Air Force, but it's still a win on the road against a solid team. Now, it all comes down to this weekend at home. Beat TCU and you've got a great shot of getting to not only a BCS game, but the BCS title game.
3. San Diego State (6-2) (3-1)
Somehow gave up 38 points to lowly Wyoming, but were able to put up 48 of their own. Ronnie Hillman's struggles the past few weeks are a big concern.
4. Air Force (5-4) (3-3)
Put up a valiant effort against the Utes, but five turnovers were too much too overcome. Should run the table from here on out though.
5. BYU (3-5) (2-2)
The Cougs were off this week. Maybe they found a passing game during their bye week. With UNLV, Colorado State, and New Mexico coming up, they should have a chance to put up some points and win the next three, getting them bowl eligible.
6. Wyoming (2-7) (0-5)
This team is the epitome of below average. They're mediocre or worse across the board. How they scored 38 points on San Diego State is beyond me. The schedule gets much easier in coming weeks and the Cowboys should win 2-3 of their final three games.
7. Colorado State (3-6) (1-2)
Third win of the year matches last year's total, while running for more than 300 yards on New Mexico. Then again, it's New Mexico.
8. UNLV (1-7) (1-4)
Hung with TCU for the first minute or so. It's a good thing they're in the same conference as New Mexico, or the Rebels might have gone winless this year.
9. New Mexico (0-8) (0-4)
Scored the first points of the game against Colorado State. If you're going to lose by 24 to the Rams, you need to make the move down to Division 1-AA.
