Guard Royce Woolridge has decided to transfer from Kansas and has two visits lined up on where he will transfer to. Woolridge is set to visit Washington State this weekend and then will be visiting Utah early next week. He is looking to play closer to his hometown of Phoenix.
Having Larry Krystkowiak on staff has been key in bringing in more recruits and it is a reason why Woolridge is considering Utah. He played for two weeks under on the U.S.A 18-under national team in Germany in 2009. Plus, the the move to the Pac-12 is another reason for having Utah on his list.
"Being part of something new and to help build up a program is a reason I am considering Utah," Woolridge said.
He is not sure of his time frame on making a decision and he said that he does not want to rush into a decision when he committed to Kansas.
Woolridge is a 6-foot-3 guard who spent one year at Kansas and saw action in 16 games, and he will be eligible to play in the 2012-2013 season.
