Indian Hills JC (Ottumwa, Iowa) forward Dijon Farr always had dreams of playing in a big time conference in college, and now he'll get that chance.
"I committed on Sunday (May 1st). I visited this past weekend. I liked the school. It was cool. It was my dream to play in a big league in college."
All it took was one trip out to Salt Lake City and a scholarship offer from new coach Larry Krystkowiak and Farr was sold.
"I wanted to try something different, and with them being in the Pac 12, that was big for me."
After the mass exodus of players following the departure of Jim Boylen, the 6-7 218 pound small forward believes he can fill two holes with his strengths.
"I'm a shooter and I like playing D. Those are my two best strengths."
Farr chose the Utes over offers from Southeast Missouri State and Fremont.
With Utah being the biggest of those schools, he couldn't help but jump at the chance and can't wait to get on the court.
"I'm very excited and ready to play."
Farr enrolls at Utah in August.
