"In the last few weeks my recruitment has really taken off. I've picked up like six or seven offers in the last two weeks."
With his focus being mostly on the Pac 12, Cyburt is hearing from two of the premier schools in the conference in USC and Oregon. The defending Pac 12 conference champs are keeping close tabs on Cyburt and he feels as though he could be on the verge of receiving an offer from the Ducks.
"I've been talking with USC and I've been in really close contact with Oregon. I wouldn't be surprised if they offered within the next week."
With his offer list growing, Cyburt doesn't have a favorite at this point and is having to rethink how he's going to narrow down his list.
"Before all of these recent offers, it was Stanford, USC, and Colorado in no particular order, but with all of the new offers, I haven't really had a chance to visit or get to know the coaches. This whole month of June I'll be taking a bunch of visits with all these new offers to try to get the know coaching staff so I can't give a top group with all of the new offers. I've already visited USC and Stanford and I'm unofficially visiting Colorado this weekend."
As for his most recent offer in Utah, the senior-to-be likes their move to the Pac 12 and is hoping to make it to Salt Lake City to meet with the coaching staff in person.
"I've talked to the offensive line coach, the head coach, and my area coach, Aaron Roderick. I was really excited when I heard they offered me because they're going to the Pac 12. They're a rising program and I think they are going to do pretty well. I definitely like the Pac 12 as my favorite and think it is awesome that they're in the Pac 12. Now that they're there, I'd like to get to know their coaches more and possibly take a visit in the near future."
After his busy summer, Cyburt hopes to have his list narrowed down and make a late summer commitment, but should he wait into his season, Utah will likely get an official visit.
"I really would like to commit before the season. Late August is perfect for me. If I do take official visits, Utah is one for sure that I'll take."
Cyburt reports a 4.0 GPA and is putting academics high on his list of priorities when picking a school.
"In terms of academics, I want the school to have a strong academic background. I want to major in business. My grades are pretty good. Good football and good academics are the most important things."
