Latu Picking Up Offers Quickly

Will Latu could be the most wanted JC offensive line prospect in the country...

Will Latu (College of the Canyons) has turned into one of the most highly recruited JC offensive linemen in the country with schools from all over offering the big tackle prospect.

"I'm just getting used to call of the schools contacting me. So far I have offers from Utah, Arizona State, Arizona, Oregon State, New Mexico, Boise State, Louisville, Florida International. I've also been talking to Oregon, Oklahoma, and USC."

Originally being an East Coast kid, Latu doesn't report any favorites while trying to learn more about the schools that have offered, but the Polynesian culture at Utah has piqued his interest.

"No favorites right now. Just focusing on my schoolwork. Being from the east coast I don't know much about Utah right now. I know that they just moved to the Pac 12. They have a cool Polynesian culture over there, so that's a good thing. I don't know much about any of the west coast teams right now. I'm still trying to figure it all out."

What's it going to take to land the services of the 6-5 315 pound lineman? A strong Polynesian influence will help.

"I want a place where I know I'll feel comfortable. It would be nice to be around people that share my own culture. I want to come in and comepte for a starting job and be able to make it to the depth chart. Also academics. I'm looking to get my degree in sociology."

While Latu filters through the schools, he still plans on waiting awhile before making a decision.

"I'll probably make my decision after I take my five trips. Being that it is still spring, I have no idea which schools I'm going to visit right now."
