Ethan Watanabe out of William J. Brennan High School in San Antonio is one of the more versatile players in Texas for the 2012 class and has strong interest in playing football in the state of 2012. The lineman is receiving interest at both defensive line positions and at the tight end spot.

"I don't have any offers right now, but I have a couple of teams that are about to offer like BYU, Iowa, and Texas Tech."

Watanabe is also receiving a lot of interest from a few other schools is hanging on to a top six that includes the previous three as well as Utah, SMU, and Baylor.

Watanabe, who is LDS, has a strong interest in playing in the state of Utah and has made two visits to the state in recent weeks.

"I went to BYU last weekend and I visited Utah in April. I like Utah a lot. They have a really good program. The thing is that they want me to come in as a defensive tackle and I really want to play tight end."

Still needing to pick up that first official offer before he can make a decision, Watanabe plans on waiting until sometime during his senior season.

"I'm going to wait and make my decision at some point during the season. I want to find a school and see how their education is. I know Utah is a really good school, so they are pretty high on my list."
