Utes Crack Seaver's Top Five

Texas offensive lineman Seaver Myers has Utah in his top five and will be visiting in July...

Friendswood High Offensive lineman Seaver Myers has turned into one of the most sought after linemen in the state of Texas and has seen his recruitment take off in recent weeks with offers left and right.

"It's going great. I have 12 offers right now and it seems every week or couple of weeks a new program offers."

Myers reports offers from Utah, Utah State, UNLV, Nevada, Louisiana Tech, Texas-San Antonio, Iowa State, Houston, Rice, SMU, Tulane, and Louisville. His interest in the Utes though is very high having spent a lot of time talking to the coaches.

"I really like Utah a lot. Coach scalley and I talk a lot and he's an awesome guy. Coach davis is also a really cool guy and seems like a good coach to play with at the O-Line."

Due to the relationship that he's built with the Utah coaching staff, Myers will be visiting in July to get to know the Salt Lake area and spend time on campus.

"We are going up there on the 20th of July and leaving early on the 23rd, I think. On the 21st, we plan to just get a feel for Salt Lake City and the atmosphere of the city and on the 22nd we are actually going to meet with the football coaches."

With the twelve offers, Myers named five that are standing out above the others right now.

"Utah, SMU, Louisville, UTSA, and Rice are my top 5 in no paticular order."

Despite that top five, Myers is still holding out for more offers before making his decision at some point during his senior year.

"I would like to be able to take all my or most of my official visits, but I would like to decide before November"
