Irwin Brothers A Package Deal

Jeromy and Sean Irwin are the top twin duo in the country and will give one school two very good players...

Offensive lineman Jeromy Irwin out of Cy-Fair High School in Cypress, TX gave us a few minutes of his time to talk about his recruitment and where he and his tight end brother Sean stand.

"Our recruitment is going well. It's been quiet lately because coaches can't call us right now, but we've been getting a lot of interest."

With schools like Alabama, LSU, TCU, and Arkansas showing interest, these two brothers will have no shortage of schools to choose from.

"Sean and I both have a couple of offers. The last offer I got was from New Mexico State who offered through my coach and we're looking to pick up some more."

One of the schools that has been showing the twins interest is Utah, who's been pushing for a visit.

"They've wanted us to come out and take visit. They're recruiting me at left tackle and Sean at tight end. One of the coaches talked to Sean the other day and said they were going to talk to the offensive coordinator about getting us offers. I'm pretty sure that they'll be offering soon."

Are the twins (who are actually triplets with a third brother who doesn't play sports), looking to play together at the next level?

"Yes. We are looking to go to the same school."

With their camp period over, the two are narrowing down their lists and looking for a school that puts education first.

"I would definitely say that I would take education over a good football program. Education gets you further in life. I'm just looking for a school that has a good educational program. If the football team is good on top of that, it's just a bonus."

6-5, 290 pound Jeromy would also like a school that runs the ball, which he feels feeds his biggest strength.

"The run game is my strength. I really like to get out and push people backwards."

Now that their summer is in full swing, the boys are starting to lineup official visits at the end of summer and beginning of fall so they can make their decision and concentrate on their senior seasons.

"I don't think we're going to commit over the summer. I think we're going to take all of our officials in August or September and then make a decision after that."
