Tasini Leaning Towards Utah

Baldwin (HI) Wailuku defensive lineman Pasoni Tasini has three offers, but is set on attending school in one state in particular, with a Pac 12 school standing out above all others.

"My favorite at this point is Utah. I also have offers from Hawaii and UNLV, but I prefer Utah."

Along with the three offers, the 6-3 240 end is also hearing from Oregon, Arizona, and Washington, but it's going to take a lot to pull him away from the Utes.

"I love the program and I like what they do. To be in Utah works for me. I'm LDS and it's the Mormom capital so it would be a good fit for me. I talked to Coach Chad about the setup. I think Utah would be a great move for me and my family."

Pasoni's desire to play in the state of Utah extends beyond the Utes as BYU is also showing a lot of interest.

"They've been in touch. If I were to get my grades in check, they said they'd offer. With them and Utah, I don't like one more than the other. I like them both because they are in Utah."

With his LDS faith, Tasini will be a sign and send with a mission on the horizon immediately after high school.

"I plan on going on a mission right after high school."

Wanting to improve his grades for the BYU offer before he makes a decision, Tasini is still a couple of months away from pulling the trigger on a school.

I'll probably commit towards the end of my season. I want to take a couple of visits first and see what it is like. Then I'll talk it over with my family and make a decision.
