Utes Keeping Tabs On Delacenserie

2013 QB James Delacenserie is hearing from schools all over the country...

Heber (UT) Wasatch High 2013 QB James Delacenserie certainly has the size of a Division 1 college quarterback, but is still searching for his first offer heading into his junior year. The small school signal caller has been working hard in the off season getting read for the season to start and hopes his recruitment picks up shortly after.

"My recruitment has been going pretty good so far. I've been talking to Utah, Oregon State, Colorado, Washington State, Wisconsin, Boston College, Vanderbilt, Colorado State, Duke, Tulane, and Rice. They all want more film after my first couple of games before I get an offer."

With a fairly high profile list of schools showing interest, four are currently standing out to Delacenserie.

"Utah, Wiscosin, Boston College and Vanderbilt are at the top right now. I don't have a favorite, but those are the schools I like most right now."

Despite that lack of an offer, the 6-3, 220 pound junior knows what he wants in a school, placing academics and winning high on his list.

"Academics are important and also how good the football program is as well as their coaching staff. I want to play for winning team."

As for the Utes, Delacenserie had a chance to meet with the coaches at their elite camp in June and has kept in contact throughout the summer.

"I think they'd be a real good school for me. I like their coaching staff with Norm Chow and Brian Johnson. I've had a chance to speak to Coach Johnson as well as Coach Aaron Alford. I've gotten to know him a bit. I like Utah a lot."
