Taito Loves To Hit

Tavita Taito is one of the top offensive lineman in the California for the 2012 class and likes Utah...

Antioch (CA) Deer Valley offensive lineman Tavita Taito had an impressive summer with a strong showing at the Nike NFTC camp and has seen his offer list grow while his senior year gets underway.

"My recruitment is going good. I'm seeing a lot of interest and starting to get more looks from SEC schools now."

Taito currently reports offers from Oregon, Oregon State, Washington, Washington State, Fresno State, Arizona, UCLA, Colorado, Utah, Nevada, and Arizona State, but has four schools that are standing out.

"My favorites are probably Oregon, Utah, Arizona, and Arizona State."

With Utah near the top of his list, the 6-3, 325 pound lineman likes the Utes' move to the Pac 12 and believes that they're ready to be a player in the conference.

"I think they are a great program. A lot of people overlook Utah, but I think they're big time."

With Utah's penchant penchant for bringing in big boys with a mean streak on the field, Taito would make a solid addition with the feedback he's received from coaches.

"A lot of coaches say I have good footwork for my size. I play hard. I don't have a temper or anything, but I love to hit."

Taito is putting immediate playing time at the top of his list when narrowing down his choices, but will have plenty of time before he decides if he sticks to his current time frame.

"I'm just trying to get a lot of playing time somewhere. I'll talk it over with my parents see where the best place is for me to go. Then I'm probably going to make my decision on national signing day."
