Pac 12 Power Rankings

Arizona State makes a jump after beating up on Utah and Oregon State crawls out of the basement

1. Stanford (5-0, 3-0)
Stanford whooped up on Colorado as Andrew Luck solidified his Heisman Trophy front runner status with a big day. The Cardinal head to Pullman for a matchup with Washington State.

2. Oregon (4-1, 2-0)
The Ducks rolled over Cal with a big second half, but lost LaMichael James in the process, likely killing any hopes they had of getting back into the national title picture. The biggest game of the Pac 12 season to date takes place in Eugene when Arizona State comes to town for a late nighter on ESPN.

3. Arizona State (5-1, 3-0)
Ladies and Gentlemen... Your Pac 12 South Division Champions. It's not official, but Arizona State should roll through the division and win it by at least two games. That's a very good team down in Tempe after they forced the Utes into another turnover fest in Salt Lake. The Devils face their toughest test of the season on Saturday night when they face Oregon for the whole country to see.

4. Washington (4-1, 2-0)
Washington had the week off. The Huskies look to keep pace with Stanford and Oregon at home on Saturday when they host Colorado.

5. USC (4-1, 2-1)
USC had a bye this week. The Trojans head north to Berkeley to battle the Bears on Thursday night.

6. Cal (3-2, 0-2)
Cal held a halftime lead, but couldn't hold it as Oregon ran all over the Golden Bears in the second half of their Thursday night matchup, Cal gets their second straight Thursday nighter, this one a home game against USC.

7. UCLA (3-3, 2-1)
It wasn't pretty, but it never is with UCLA, but they get the win over Washington State after trailing for much of the game. The Bruins get a week off before heading to Tucson in a possible bowl-elimination game against Arizona on Thursday night.

8. Arizona (1-5, 0-4)
It can't get much worse than falling behind 30-6 to Oregon State can it? Arizona made a valitan comeback, but fell short. The pass defense continues to be awful. This may be the end of the Stoops era. The Wildcats get a much needed bye before heading home to take on UCLA on Thursday night.

T9. Utah (2-3, 0-3)
That's 10 turnovers in the last two games, both of which were at home. Outside of that, the Utah hung with ASU pretty well, but the better team did get the win. Division title hopes are gone. The Utes head East for a Saturday morning game with Pitt. Set your alarm.

T9. Washington State (3-2, 1-1)
Wazzu had their chances and had UCLA beat, but the inability to convert in the red zone killed their chances at an upset. The Cougars get to host Andrew Luck and Stanford on Saturday.

11. Oregon State (1-4, 1-2)
Oregon STate jumped out to a 30-6 lead against Arizona and hung on for their first win of the season. The Beavers best chance at a win this season may be Saturday when BYU comes to Corvallis.

12. Colorado (1-5, 0-2)
Colorado went to the Farm for a battle with Stanford and got rolled. They take OSU's spot at the bottom of the rankings. It doesn't get any easier for the Buffs who now get Washington in Seattle.
