1. Stanford (7-0, 5-0)
Stanford absolutely annihilated Washington with an unbelievable offensive performance without having to lean much on Andrew Luck. With the nationally ranked teams ahead of them losing in Oklahoma and Wisconsin, the Cardinal are sitting pretty for the national title game if they win out. They now face their toughest test of test of the season to date when they head to USC.
2. Oregon (6-1, 4-0)
Oregon made quick work of Colorado in a game they could have won by 100 if they had kept their foot on the pedal. The Ducks will host Washington State on Saturday.
3. Arizona State (5-2, 3-1)
The Sun Devils had the week off. They'll host struggling Colorado this weekend.
4. USC (6-1, 3-1)
USC went into South Bend and beat up on a very good Notre Dame team. Don't look now, but this team could win 10 games. The Trojans return home to face Andrew Luck and Stanford this week.
5. Washington (5-2, 3-1)
Washington hung with Stanford for a quarter and a half before being blown off the field by the Stanford offense. Not ready to join the conference elite yet. The Huskies look to bounce back when they host Arizona on Saturday.
6. Cal (4-3, 1-3)
Cal bounced back in a big way as their defense absolutely shut down Utah while Zach Maynard and the offense got back on track. The Bears head south to the Rose Bowl for a matchup with UCLA on Saturday.
7. Arizona (2-5, 1-4)
The Wildcats pasted UCLA in the first game post Mike Stoops. The schedule gets easier shortly, but not before Arizona heads to Seattle to take on Washington.
8. Washington State (3-4, 1-3)
There goes any possibility of a bowl berth as Wazzu was smacked at home by Oregon State. We're probably seeing the end of the Paul Wulff regime. A tough slate of games now kicks in as they head to Eugene to take on Oregon.
9. UCLA (3-4, 2-2)
The should be it for Rick Neuheisal after the Bruins lost 48-12 at Arizona. They looked outclassed in every way. The UCLA head man may not make it through the week before they host Cal.
10. Utah (3-4, 0-4)
It was ugly and another embarrassment for Utah as they were whipped by Cal, remaining winless in Pac 12 play. A bowl berth might be a stretch. The Utes head home this week for a battle with Oregon State that suddenly doesn't look like the gimme it did a few weeks ago.
11. Oregon State (2-5, 2-2)
Oregon State walloped Washington State in Pullman and suddenly look like a team that won't be the pushover they appeared to be a couple of week ago. The Beavers next head to Salt Lake City to take on Utah.
12. Colorado (1-7, 0-4)
Colorado looked slow, unprepared, and like a NAIA team as Oregon rolled right through them in Boulder. Coach Embree is lucky Oregon brought in the backups or they could have lost by 100. The tough teams keep a comin as they travel to Tempe to face Arizona State.
