Polo Talks Visit

DE Polo Manukainiu returns from a visit to Utah with the Utes in his top 3...

It's been an up and down recruitment for defensive end Polo Manukainiu out of Euless (TX) Trinity, who was once committed to Oklahoma, but has opened things up in the last week and visited Utah over the weekend.

"Oh man, it was great. I loved it, my mom loved it, and my boy, Hiva, loved it. I got to hang out with the other Polys on the team every single night, and got some one on one time with the coaches."

Manukainiu was hosted by Trinity alumnus LT Tuipuloto and enjoyed the bonding with the former Trojan while spending time with Utah's diverse group of players.

"The team is very diverse, and I like that. It's a lot like home, and like my team at home. I can do the same things at Utah that I get to do at home."

Maunkainiu visited with current high school teammate and Utah propsect Hiva Lutui, and both have talked more and more about the Utes since returning home.

"We did talk about it. We talked about it a lot this week. He actually brought up Utah first and we talked about what it would be like to be out there together. It's something we're thinking about."

The 23rd ranked defensive end in the country still has multiple visits planned, including a trip to Nebraska this weekend, but has three schools standing out.

"Utah is is my top three. Them, Baylor, and Texas A&M. I'm still going to take my visits and then we'll see what is the best situation for me."
