Leota Will Be 'Bringing It Back To Utah'

JC defensive end Koliniasi Leota discusses his trip and his intentions of signing with Utah...

Utah received a big boost this week when it was announced that Star Lotulelei would be coming back in 2012 for his senior season. Now the defensive line could be getting more reinforcements after JC defensive lineman Koliniasi Leota finished his Utah visit.

"It was awesome. I'm still soaking it all in. I had a blast. I'm going to be bringing it back to Utah."

Leota spent his weekend being hosted by Nait Fotu and enjoyed every part of the stay.

"We pretty much just toured the school and kicked it with all the Ute boys. I also saw some friend and family. It was chill."

Leota spent a lot of time with the Utah coaches and impressed him with the facilities.

"I also kicked it with the coaches and got to know more about them. We learned more about the academics side of things and the facilities. I enjoyed it."

The defensive lineman talked over a commitment with the coaches and, as long as he finishes up his classes, said he'd be coming to Utah.

"We did talk about committing, but what they told me was that I can't sign until Wednesday. I don't know if I can sign unless I have my AA, but if I can sign Wednesday, I will. I might have to wait until I finish my math class, which will be done in the second or third week of January."

While Leota's commitment isn't official yet while he waits on his grades, he's happy with where things stand with Utah.

"I'm just happy to bring it back here because this is home. My family wants me here and I love it here. I'm motivated to work."
