Junior Salt is coming home. The JC lineman, who committed to Florida in December, has decided that Utah is where he wants to be by committing to the Utes.
"I just felt that I needed to be back home. I've been away from home for too long and wanted to come back to Utah."
Salt is relishing the chance to play on the same team as an elite NFL talent, as well as play in front of his loved ones.
"Now I get to play in front of my family and friends and play on the same team as a highly rated guy in Star Lotulelei."
The call he had to make to the Florida coaches to tell them he wasn't coming wasn't an easy one, but the reaction of the Utah coaches more than made up for hit.
"I called the Florida coaches and told them. They were disappointed and said they still wanted me, but they understood. When I talked to the Utah coaches they were very excited and said they can't wait for me to get on campus."
With only a couple of weeks until signing day, the summer enrollee will be visiting Utah on January 20th.
"I'm definitely going to be taking a visit to Utah officially not this weekend, but next weekend."
