Lozano Has Two Leaders

East Los Angeles JC offensive lineman Carlos Lozano talks about his Utah visit and heads to Kansas

Carlos Lozano is one of the biggest recruits left on the board, both in terms of size and ability to make an immediate impact. The 6-7, 375 pounds offensive lineman wrapped up his visit to Utah before heading directly to Kansas for a visit with the Jayhawks. Lozano talked to Inside The Utes about his visit and where things stand with his recruitment.

"It was good. I liked it. I really liked the campus, the coaching staff, how the school is, and how they handle things football wise. "

Lozano played junior college ball in 2010 with a current Ute, who helped make his visit more enjoyable and comfortable.

"I have a good buddy up there (Anthony Denham that I played with and was my host, so it was easy to get along with the rest of the team because I was comfortable. I really had a good bond with the team."

With the Utah visit over, and a visit to Kansas State also in the books, Lozano is favoring the two schools he's tripped to.

"Utah and Kansas State are my leaders. I really like both of them, but I still have another two visits, so we'll so how it goes."

Now that he's in Lawrence visiting Kansas, there will be one more visiting following that and then he'll make his decision.

"I'm pretty much going to be looking at Kansas and then next week going to Washington State, and then take a few days to make my decision, but I won't be announcing it until national signing day."

Like many other recruits, finding the place that he's most comfortable at is going to be the deciding factor in Lozano's recruitment.

"It's just wherever I feel most comfortable and wherever my family feels is the right place."
