Allen Close To Pulling The Trigger

Texas athlete Bryan Allen enjoys his Utah visit and is leaning towards the Utes...

Bryan Allen may be closing down his recruitment and Utah looks ready to snatch him up. The WR/DB finished up his visit to Utah and came away impressed with the school and the program.

"It was nice. I liked it.I liked the engineering program and they built a brand new engineering building. The coaches and players were very nice. I'm really thinking about coming. I'm still going to talk it over with my mom."

Allen was hosted by a player he has had a chance to get to know fairly well in the past and enjoyed being around someone he looks up to.

"They took us on a tour of the school and the stadium. I spent time with my mentor, Luke Matthews, and I really like that."

Meetings with coaches, including head coach Kyle Whittingham, were impressive and another visit with the head man today could seal the deal.

"I sat down with my position coach and talked to Coach Whittingham. Coach Whittingham is coming to my house tomorrow. if I don't have a decision by tomorrow, I should have one by the end of the week."

When asked if he's probably going to end up at Utah, Allen responded with 'Yes."

Allen has been looked at by Utah on both sides of the ball, but if his visit is any indication, he'll end up on offense.

"My position meeting was with the wide receivers coach, so I'll most likely end up playing receiver."
