Junior Salt made the change from Florida to Utah just a few weeks ago. Now his official visit has confirmed his decision to come home to Utah and play in front of friends and family.
"It was excellent. I loved it. I Had a great time."
Salt was hosted by Latu Heimuli, someone he's known for quite some time.
"I got a better feel for the school. I'm already familiar with the coaches and most of the Polynesian players on the squad. It was nice to see all of the facilities and the academic side of things."
Salt, being from Utah originally, has past relationship with both current players, and players already committed to Utah for the 2012 class.
"I met all of the guys on the recruiting trip. I hung out with Vaha Vainuku. I've known him for awhile while he was growing up and also Nua Poteki."
The mammoth lineman, who is being brought in as a defensive tackle, but could end up on either side of the ball, doesn't have any big plans for signing day and can't wait to send in his letter of intent.
"I'm just ready to sign. Not going to do anything special. I'm just ready to send in my paperwork and sign."
Salt is a summer enrollee and says he's on track to finish and be on campus as soon as he's done with his JC school work.
"I'm on track to finish. Everything with my academics is going good."
