Moore Just Getting Started

Southern California cornerback LJ Moore has seen his offer total rise to 5 with more interest coming daily...

In a pass happy Pac 12, schools are going to need to load up on big time cornerbacks, which is why Edison (CA) Central corner L.J. Moore already has 5 offers and is hearing from others throughout the conference and the country.

"My recruitment has been going pretty well. It's really starting to pickup. I have a lot of schools that I've heard from."

Moore reports offers from Cal, UCLA, Washington, UNLV, and Eastern Michigan while picking up interest from other high profile schools all over the country.

"I've also been hearing a lot from Notre Dame, USC, Utah, Colorado, and Florida State."

The 6-1, 160 pound corner watched the Utes earlier in the year in their loss against Cal and liked what he saw out of their attacking defense.

"I saw them play against Cal this year and I really like how aggressive their defense is. They play a lot of man and mix in some zone once in awhile, so I like that."

That aggressive defense that Utah has may work to their benefit should they extend an offer Moore's way as he is putting that high on his list of priorities.

"I want to play for a school that has a really aggressive defense. The major I decide is also important, although I don't know what that's going to be yet."

With Moore likely to pick up more offers between now and the end of the recruiting process, he doesn't plan on making a decision anytime soon, possibly waiting as long as he can.

"I'm not going to be making a decision soon. I think I'll wait until closer to signing day or wait as long as possible."

In the meantime, he'll be setting up unofficial visits to schools and attending camps throughout California.

"I'm going to go to the NFTC Camp at Stanford and also the Cal camp for sure. Maybe a few others."
