Cornerback Kahlil Dawson out of Graham (WA) Kapowsin recently picked up his first offer from a Mountain West school and has been hearing from schools all over the Pac 12 as his recruitment picks up.
"I just picked up my first offer from Wyoming recently. I've also been hearing a lot from Washington State, Utah, Oregon State, and Arizona State."
With it still being early in the process Dawson doesn't have a favorite, but knows exactly what he's looking for in a school.
"I don't have any favorites right now. I'm looking for a school that is not too far from home, but not too close either. Somewhere that is very family oriented. I want a place that reminds me of home."
Dawson has been hearing from the Utes often and is planning on speaking with the coaching staff at some point this week to learn more about the program and the school.
"My dad and I have a call setup with Utah this week to see where things are at and to learn more about them. I think they're a very good team. They graduate a lot of their players, the coaches are great, and I really like their uniforms."
The 5-9, 160 pound corner, who can also play receiver, is looking to pick up offers early and often so he can make his decision at some point over the next six months.
"I'd ideally like to commit over the summer, but if I'm not ready and haven't found the right place yet, I'm willing to wait."
