Utah Pushing For So Cal Tight End

JC TE Beau Sandland has been reeling in offers left and right

Pierce Junior College tight end Beau Sandland may end up being the most heavily recruited JC tight end in the country for the 2013 and he's seen his recruitment pick up over the past couple of weeks with multiple offers.

"Utah offered me on the 22nd and Ole Miss and Arizona have offered me. My coaches have been talking to Washington, New Mexico and Texas Tech a lot."

The Utah offer was his first and he's excited to learn more about a school that he's been following for awhile

"When I got the offer from Utah I was excited because not only were they the first ones to offer, but I've been following them for a long time and have been watching them. I know some kids that play up there too. I played against Brian Blechen in high school. Brian Johnson is the offensive coordinator and his resume speaks for itself. He's the youngest offensive or defensive coordinator in the NCAA and it's exciting to have someone that played quarterback there come back and run that offense."

Sandland is keeping his options open, but is putting two conferences, and their schools, above the rest.

"I would consider any offer. I just want to go somewhere in the Pac 12 or the SEC. I want to go somewhere that has a good offensive coordinator and is good at the quarterback position. Also a school that spreads the ball out."

The 6-6, 250 pounder has plans on visiting two schools, but is a long ways from making his decision.

"I'll be visiting Texas Tech and Ole Miss, but don't gave dates yet. I want to keep my options open so I'm going to take all my visits and wait until closer to signing day."

Sandland is a mid year graduate assuming he stays on track academically.

"I'll graduate in December. I'm on track to get my AA then and I'll have three to play two."
