Utah jumped on the board very early with a 2014 back in early March when Jackson Barton out of Salt Lake City (UT) Brighton gave the Utes a verbal pledge.
"I committed to Utah. I've always wanted to go there and my parents went there as well."
The 6-7, 275 pound junior to be has been talking with the Utah coaches since the end of his freshman year and picked up an offer during the 2011 season.
"They started talking to me last summer and offered at the UCLA game in November."
Jackson has seen his offer list grow to three with Utah, Utah State, and Michigan throwing them out and more are likely on the way, but the left tackle insists that he's committed to Utah.
"I grew up a Utah fan so that was a big reason I committed. I'm 100% committed to Utah."
