Davison Working Hard

So Cal hybrid defender Ray Davison is working hard to pick up offers

Ray Davison is intent on putting in hard work both on and off the field. Now that hard work is starting to pay off with one offer already in his pocket and more schools starting to show interest in the hybrid LB/DE.

"I would say my recruitment is going pretty well. I'm getting a lot of interest from Pac 12 schools, some of the Ivy Leagues, and just different schools. I do have one offer from South Dakota."

Davison lists the big schools that he has been hearing from as Utah, UCLA, Oregon State, Colorado, Oregon, Washington State, and Arizona, but doesn't have a favorite yet, despite knowing what he wants out of a school.

"No favorites at this point. I'm pretty open right now. I'm just looking for a school with exceptional academics, exceptional sports, and a great social community."

Now Utah is getting into the mix as Davison has been visited by two of the Ute coaches.

"The recruiting coordinator along with the defensive line coach visited me. They just want me to continue to gain weigh, get stronger, work hard and perform my senior year. I think Utah is a phenomenal program. I think statistically it was the best defense in the Pac 12, and to receive interest from a school of that caliber makes me work harder on and off the field."

Davison has an offer to attend the Utah Elite Camp and hopes to attend, while also hitting the road to attend a few other Pac 12 camps this summer.

"I'll be going to Stanford, UCLA, and a few other local school camps."

With no timetable set on making a decision, he'll continue to work to add to his offer list and decide when the time is right.

"Whenever me and my family sit down and discuss whats best choice for me is when I'll decide."
