Levini Has A Leader

Texas defensive end Vili Levini has an impressive offer list, but one Pac 12 school stands out

Utah was always had a lot of success in plucking under the radar players out of Texas and 2013 may be no different as they continue to make in roads and impress athletes like defensive end Vili Levini who has picked up six offers, including one from the Utes.

"I've got a couple of offers and I talked to Utah today. The schools that have offered are North Texas, Utah, Utah State, Texas State, Navy and Rice."

Levini is also hearing from a couple of other schools from BCS conferences and hopes to pick up more offers over the next couple of months.

"Baylor, Houston, Iowa State and West Virginia are other schools that I've been talking to a lot. West Virginia just said they need to see my film and then they'd offer."

There is one school that stands out above the rest right now due largely in part to family influences.

"The only one that stands out to me right now is Utah. I have family up there. I grew up there and was out there last summer."

The 6-5, 225 pounder has started developing a nice relationship with the Utah coaching staff as they make a case for their school.

"I talked to Coach Scalley and Coach Sitake today. They told me how it's really a family up there and how I can get a great education. Coach Scalley and I talk quite a bit. He's a really cool guy. I'm supposed to go out to see Utah, Utah State, and BYU this summer, but we'll see if I can make it."

Despite listing the Utes as his favorite, Levini is in no rush to decide, wanting to let the process play out longer and weigh all of his options.

"I'll see what goes on the summer, but I'll most likely decide over the summer. I'm just trying to wait it out a little longer to see all of my options. I want to be patient, but most of family wants me to go to Utah and having extended family there is definitely something I like."
