Utah continues to make noise in Texas and they're hoping to get an early jump on 2014 with players like defensive tackle Uasike Mohelika, who has three offers to his name already, including one from the Utes.
"The offers I know are Utah, Utah State, and Hawaii."
Mohelika is also receiving interest in a few schools inside of Texas such as Texas Tech, Houston, and Rice, but the biggest competition for the Utes may come from a fellow Pac 12 team.
"The two schools that are standing out right now are Stanford and Utah, but mostly Stanford."
The 6-2, 260 pounder is in Palo Alto this weekend for a visit and hopes to leave with an offer, but for now, the Utes are the leader of the teams that have extended a full ride.
"I visited Utah last Thursday and they offered me last Friday. I think they have a great program. I think can fit in real well with the people over there."
Whether or not Utah he'll make that pledge to Utah will depend on how well he feels Utah can put him in place to receive a top-notch education.
"I'm looking for a nice school that is welcoming and will help out in my education."
We'll likely have to wait awhile for that decision to come if Mohelika sticks to his timeline.
"Mostly likely the end of my senior year."
