Utah in California Athlete's Top-5

Devin Ross has a growing number of offers but says he has the Utes at the top his list.

Bishop Alemany (CA) athlete Devin Ross has seen his list of offers grow over the past few months.

Currently the senior-to-be sports offers from schools in the Pac-12, Big Ten, Big East, and just about everywhere in between. With 11 offers currently in hand, where do the Utes stack up?

"They're definitely in my top-5. If I had to pick right now my top-5 would be Utah, Colorado, Boston College, San Diego State, and Fresno State."

Ross really likes what he sees in Utah's program and says that it doesn't hurt having a close friend on the team.

"I like that Utah is a Pac-12 school. I also like that my friend (Kenneth Scott) goes there and he plays receiver also. He tells me that it's a really good atmosphere. I also like what I've seen of the campus although I haven't been there in person yet."

At 5'10" 175 Ross is a multi-talented athlete being recruited by colleges at both the cornerback and wide receiver positions. Though he excels at both he says it's his desire to play receiver at the next level.

"Coach Johnson is recruiting me at receiver. It's good because that's primarily what I want to play in college. I want to play on offense."

With no favorite at the moment, Devin says he is taking his time evaluating each of the schools that has offered him. He is currently in the process of setting up official visits, but with no announcement date planned and no timetable for making a decision he says he'll "make a choice when I find the perfect fit."

Devin Ross is 5'10", 175 lbs, bench presses 250 pounds and runs a self-reported 4.49 40-yard dash.
