Johnson To Visit The Utes

Texas running back Travorris Johnson plans on visiting Utah officially

Texas running back Travorris Johnson has an impressive list of offers on the table and continues to work through the process while more come his way.

"My recruitment is going real good. I have offers from Utah, Wake Forest, Arkansas, Boise State, Iowa State, Colorado State, Houston, Louisiana-Lafayette, and a few others."

The Utes have jumped in the mix and are standing out for the the 6-0, 215 pounder.

"I'm very interested in Utah. They're one of my favorites right now, but I don't really have a list of top schools. I really like Utah though."

The relationship he's built with Coach Morgan Scalley has made him very comfortable with the thought of coming to Utah, and the power back plans on visiting officially.

"Utah has a great school and program. The coaches there are really good and I like that they're in the Pac 12. I think I'd fit in real well in their offense. I talk with Coach Scalley and we have a pretty fun relationship. I'm going to take an official visit out there either during my season or after the season."

Johnson is placing a lot of emphasis on the team environment and everyone taking care of each other when he makes his decision.

"I'm looking for a school with a strong family environment. I'm looking into how a school runs their offense, and whether or not they can help me get my degree and set me up for life if football doesn't work out."

With offers seemingly rolling in weekly, Johnson will tak his time and not make a decision until late fall.

"I want to be able to make a decision towards the end of my season."
