Kevin Parrom hit a three to open up the game and Solomon Hill made consecutive shots from behind the arc to give Arizona the quick 9-0 lead that was extended to 11 with a Mark Lyons layup. Oregon then went on a run as Carlos Emory had five consecutive points before Dominic Artis hit a three to cut the lead to 11-8. Nick Johnson and Waverly Austin exchanged baskets before the first time out with the Wildcats leading 13-10.
E.J. Singler scored out of the timeout and Damyean Dotson followed with his first score of the game before Artis was able to get into the lane and out the Ducks up 16-13. However, Mark Lyons came back with two layups as a score by Arsalan Kazemi made it 18-17 in favor of Oregon with about 11 minutes left.
Parrom proceeded to score, but was matched by Artis. Jordin Mayes then hit a three from the corner and Brandon Ashley added a three-point play before Tony Woods scored consecutive baskets to cut Arizona's lead to 25-24 with 7:33 left. Dominic Artis and Nick Johnson exchanged free-throws before Kazemi made two of his own and Singler added a three-point play to put the Ducks up 30-26 with about five minutes left in the half.
Tarczewski was able score, but Artis hit a three to answer and Dotson scored as well to put the Ducks up 35-28. Woods was able to get a dunk out of a timeout with about three minutes left in the half and Dotson added a shot off the glass to put Oregon up 39-28 with under two minutes left. A jumper by Singler extended the lead, but Tarczewski scored to try to stop the run to go into the half down 41-30.
Dotson hit a three to start the half and Solomon Hill answered before Parrom added one of his own and Hill scored again. However, Woods came back for Oregon and hit a basket that was matched by Lyons. Austin was then able to get a dunk and the Ducks led 48-38 with 15:48 left in the second half. Hill cut the lead to single digits with a jumper out of a timeout and Johnson followed with a layup to cut the Ducks' lead to six.
Austin scored off an offensive rebound to put the lead back at eight and Hill was able to make one of two from the line shortly after. However, Artis proceeded to make a deep three-pointer to put the Ducks back up ten with 13:27 left. Lyons got to the line the next time down court and made both of his free-throws.
Kazemi responded with two free-throws and Lyons made two the next time down court and cut the Oregon lead to 55-47 with 11 minutes left. After an Oregon bucket, Lyons hit a three-pointer, but Emory was able to hit one as well and put the Ducks up 10 with 8:34 left in regulation. Johnson came up with a block and layup out of the timeout to cut the lead to eight.
Singler was able to hit a three-pointer to go up by 11 a few minutes later and added two free-throws shortly after. Hill was able to come up with a three-point play to cut the Ducks' lead to 10 with four minutes left and after an Oregon bucket, a three by Lyons cut Oregon's lead to nine with under three minutes left.
Johnson came up with a steal and layup to get within seven points and a three-pointer by Lyons cut it to four with 1:18 left. Singler got to the line ten seconds later and made both of his attempts before Johnson also got to the line and made both. He then made a three to cut Oregon's lead to three, but a turnover put Oregon at the line and Johnathan Loyd made one of two to make it a four-point game with nine seconds left.
