Williams Picks Up More Offers

So Cal linebacker Dwight Williams has picked up offers left and right including one from Utah

With signing day 2013 winding down, Utah didn't waste any time to jump on one of the elite 2014 prospects with a signing day offer to LB Dwight Williams out of Junipero (CA) Serra.

"Utah did offer. I also picked up offers today from Mississippi State and Houston. I'm not even sure how many other offers I have now."

The initial 2014 Scout rankings have Williams as the 12th ranked outside linebacker in the class, and with the Utes looking to make linebacker a priority in the next recruiting cycle, Williams may be intrigued by the chance to come in and play early.

"I would like to play early, but that's not what's most important to me. I want to go to a place that is going to win and where I can make a difference."

While quite a few big name programs have offered, Williams isn't naming a leader and wants to do his due diligence with all schools before eliminating anyone.

"I don't have any schools that are leading right now. Everyone is pretty much even."

With all of the interest he's receiving now, and the varirty of options he'll have to choose from, the 6-1, 212 pounder has no intentions of making an early decision.

"I'm going to hold off for awhile before I make a decision. I want to take my visits and then decide on signing day."

Utah does have an in with Williams, as a future Ute is good friends with the four star backer.

"My friend Xavier Shepherd is going to Utah. He's been telling me how great it is and wants me to visit there."
