If there's one state in the west that is pumping out top tier talent for 2014 at a higher rate than anyone else, it's Arizona. One of those prospects is offensive lineman Jon Sekona, who has one offer under his belt.
"My recruitment has been going good. I've just been working really hard and I've been getting a lot of coaches that want to talk to me and are sending me letters."
The Utes are the only offer he has at the moment, but many schools in the Pac 12 have increased their interest.
"Utah is the only offer right now. Oregon, USC, and a lot of the Pac 12 have been talking to me. Arkansas as well."
Arizona based prospects have a penchant for heading west to California, and if Sekona has his pick, he'd like to do the same.
"I don't jave a dream school, but I'd like to go to school somewhere in California."
The 6-4, 315 pounder is putting a lot of emphasis on family feel and a close-knit family when making his decision.
"I'm just hoping that the team is a close family. I want to place that will help me keep my grades up."
With Utah being his only offer, Sekona has been looking more and more into the school and the Salt Lake area.
"I have been researching Utah a lot. They look good and I think they're going to get better this season."
The big man is being recruited by offensive line Coach Dan Finn and they're keeping an open dialogue.
"He keeps in contact and always tells me that he's still interested in me."
Sekona is nowhere near ready to make a decision, wanting to pick up more offers and take his visits.
"I want to wait until after football season before I make a commitment. I'll take visits first and then will decide after the season and after the visits are done."
Three Pac 12 schools, including Utah, are on his list of visits he'd like to take.
"I would like to visit USC, Oregon, Utah, and Arkansas, and maybe Nebraska."
