Magnolia High School's Jamal Scott continues to catch the attention of schools out west, holding offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Houston, New Mexico, Oregon State, Utah, and San Diego State.
At 6'2" 200 pounds, Scott has the ideal body for the safety position, which is what all programs are recruiting him as (with Houston giving the possibility of playing offense).
When asked what he is looking for in schools, Scott says he's looking for, "a good team, good academics, and a school that has a family setting."
Of the schools that have offered him, Utah is currently his favorite, and is the #1 school he wants to make an official visit too. Scott's take on Utah, " I hear that Salt Lake City is a great city. It has a good family setting and overall good atmosphere". Plus, it is on the West Coast which is where he would prefer to play his college ball.
As far as his upcoming senior season goes, Scott has his eyes set on making all Orange County, making it to an all-star game, and to help Magnolia High reach the CIF playoffs.
Scott says that he would like to make his commitment towards the end of the summer, but will most likely make his decision during the upcoming season.
