Kuzma To Visit Utah

The Southern California product will take an official visit in September

With one elite prospect in the bag for 2014, Utah is still looking for more, and small forward Kyle Kuzma is a top target.

"I like Utah a lot. The coaches are great guys and I've built great relationships with Coach Connor, Coach K, and Coach Slocum."

Those relationships may go a long ways towards helping Utah land the coveted So Cal prospect.

"I'm looking for a school where I'm comfortable at and has coaches that I have a strong relationship with. That's the most important thing. Also strong academics and a place that I can be successful at, on and off the court."

Kuzma is starting to line up official visits, but has only done so with the Utes to this point.

"Utah is the only visit I have setup and I'm excited to come out there. I'll have a chance to go to the football game and see what the school has to offer."

With four other official visits remaining, Kuzma will be narrowing down his final list of school.

"I'd like to cut my list down very soon, but I don't have a day yet. I'm just talking it over with my family and playing it day by day right now. Utah is one of my top schools, but I don't really have a favorite right now."

Kuzma is a versatile player who can play multiple spots, coming off of a junior year where he averaged 14 points and 8 rebounds per game.

"The coaches said that I can be a very good wing player for them. I have a lot of different skills and can do a lot to help the team win."

Kuzma has spent some time around new Utah commit Brekkott Chapman and the two are getting friendlier, something that could work to Utah's advantage.

"I talked to Brekkot on the day he committed. We don't know each other really well, but are getting to know each other more and playing with him would be great."
