Utah Offers Washington Offensive Lineman

Morgan Richey picked up two Pac 12 offers in the past two weeks with one of them coming from Utes

With Utah looking for one more offensive lineman in the 2014 class, they've honed in on a player from one of the top high school programs in the country, who has seen his recruitment take off in the last two weeks. Bellevue (WA) offensive lineman Morgan Richey is that guy.

"Things are going pretty good with my recruitment. They've heated up a lot in the past few weeks."

Counting offers from Idaho, Colorado State, Air Force, Nevada, Northern Colorado, Montana, Montana State, and North Dakota, Richey has added two Pac 12 teams to the list with UCLA and Utah throwing their hat in the ring.

"The Utah and UCLA offers are big ones for me. To finally get offers from Pac 12 schools is huge. I don't have any favorites right now, but I really like those two."

While his relationship with Utah is still in his infancy, Richey has the Utes near the top of his list.

"Coach Finn was the Utah coach that offered me. I've only talked to him once, but I really like him. Utah is a great school being in the Pac 12. They've been a strong program for awhile and hopefully I can make it out there after the season for a visit."

Not wanting to rush things, Richey will be thorough in his studying of what schools have to offer being make the call on where he'll spend the next four to five years.

"I'm just trying to take my time with all of this and keep my options open. I want to make sure that my heart is set on one place when I make a decision."

Utah's family atmosphere that is preached by the coaches and players will only help their cause in landing the big man, and will have the opportunity to present that should Richey visit officially.

"I want a school with strong academics, a great campus life, and a family atmosphere where I feel really comfortable. I don't have any official visits setup yet, but I definitely want to visit Utah, UCLA, and probably Colorado State."
