So Cal DB Returns From Utah Official

Cornerback Denzel Fisher visited Utah over the weekend and liked what he saw

Utah spent the summer looking like the favorite for Southern California cornerback Denzel Fisher. Then hometown UCLA came along, offered, and Fisher took it. He's softened a bit on his commitment though and is taking visits, with Utah being the first one this past weekend.

"The visit was great. I got a great feel for the campus and was able to spend time with Coach Shah. We're really tight so it was good to hang out with him."

Utah's new football facility ended up being the gem of the trip for Fisher, who loved everything it had to offer.

"The facilities are some of the best I've ever seen. The training rooms were great. I loved all of it."

Fisher was hosted by another So Cal kid, and also spent a lot of time with the son of a Utah coach he's known for a long time.

"Dominique Hatfield was my host and I also got to hang out with Sharrieff Shah Jr. I really had a good time with them and the other recruits. We got the relax and eat a ton. I learned more about the school, what it can offer me, and the academics."

Despite Utah's loss, Fisher enjoyed the game and was able to focus on what the players were doing on the field.

"It was a great game. They kept fighting and I got to watch the corners and the schemes that Utah used."

Despite the great visit, the corner says he's still committed to the Bruins, but that could change, and he'll keep taking visits.

"I'm still 100% committed, but the process isn't over until February 6th. I'm keeping an open mind and will still be taking to visits to Washington State, Oregon State, and UCLA. I want to leave things open."
