So Cal Safety Visits Utah

Safety prospect Marcus Williams talks official visit to Utah

With a starting safety graduating and the possibility of another moving to a different position, Utah continues to target that spot in the 2014 class with guys like Marcus Williams out of Corona (CA) Roosevelt High School, who visited over the weekend.

"The visit went great. I got to see a lot of the campus and the engineering facilities. I want to major in engineering so that was big for me."

Williams was hosted by a Utah player who he's known for awhile, and they enjoyed each other's company.

"Kenneth Scott was my host. We used to go to the same school. He's a cool guy and showed me around."

"The gameday atmosphere and fan involvement was great. They really have a lot of support from the city and fans. It's a really nice, big stadium."

Williams was also able to spend time with the coaches, including his primary recruiter, Morgan Scalley, and see the new facilities.

"I spent a lot of time with the coaches, like Coach Scalley. He's a good guy and knows what he is talking about. They showed me around the new facilities. I loved the locker rooms."

Williams has one more official visit lined up and hopes to make a decision early next month.

"I'll be going to Boise for an official visit and then want to make my decision in early January."
