Creason With a Wild Week

Folsom (CA) offensive lineman Cody Creason was offered by Utah earlier in the week

With the decommitment of Alfred Smith, Utah is looking for their first verbal pledge from the high school ranks in the 2015 class. They'd love for that first one to be Folson (CA) offensive lineman Cody Creason, who picked up an offer earlier in the week from the Utes.

"My recruitment is going great. I've got offers from Cal, Washington State, Utah, Boise State, and Oregon. I've also been talking to the Colorado coaches a bit."

While Creason says no schools are standing out, he knows what he's looking for at the collegiate level.

"I'm looking for a school where I know that I'm be able to help the team and be effective. I'm looking at personnel and where I fit in with each team, and how the current players get along now."

WIth Utah offering this week, Creason has started developing a solid relationship with the coaching staff, and is already familiar with the biggest name in Utah football.

"I've been hearing great things about Utah. It's great that Coach Whittingham is the uncle of one of my good friends. I don't have any plans to visit out there right now, but I might at some point."

The 6-4 285 pounder doesn't have the busiest spring and summer planned ahead of him, but would still like to make an early verbal pledge.

"I really don't have any plans to go to any camps over the summer, but I'll probably visit a few schools if I can. If I can make a decision over the summer that would be great. My coaches have advised me to make my commitment early, but I'm not sure exactly when that is going to be."
