Creason Enjoys Visit To Salt Lake City

Three star offensive guard Cody Creason made a lot of trips over Spring Break, including one to Utah

It's no secret that three star offensive guard Cody Creason is a widely coveted recruit, as he has eight current offers, and recently made numerous trips up and down the west coast, in order to get a better understanding of where he'd like to play his college ball. One of those stops he made was in Salt Lake City to check out the Utes of Utah. "(The visit) went very good. I love the coaches and players, and it's truly a family atmosphere. They also have really nice facilities and great academic support." Utah has widely been known for their family atmosphere within the program, and that atmosphere made a big impression on Creason. "The family atmosphere stood out the most. The chemistry on the team is great! I could envision myself playing with that group of guys."

When Creason arrived in Utah, he was immediately greeted by his main recruiter, offensive line coach Jim Harding, and was promptly given a tour of the university, and the facilities that Utah has to offer. "I met up with Coach Harding when I arrived and then took a campus visit. We then visited the stadium and had lunch with the offensive linemen. I then checked out the facilities and dorms. After all that, I had a good meeting with Coach Whittingham." Even though this is Coach Harding's first year with the Utah program, he has already done a lot to make a big impression on Creason. "I like Coach Harding a lot! I sat in on an O-Line meeting with him, and I like the way he coaches as well." A lot of times, recruits can be pressured to commit on visits by the coaching staff, but Creason said that wasn't the case with Utah and Coach Harding, which is something he liked. "Coach Harding just wanted me to see for myself what Utah has, and I liked what I saw."

Over the past week, Creason visited Oregon, Washington State, Boise State and Arizona State, in addition to Utah, but said he doesn't have any favorites after taking all those visits. "They were all very impressive. It was a great experience for me. It gave me a good indication of what each (school) has to offer." Creason also spoke about his decision timeline, and when he'll be making a commitment. "I am thinking about (committing) right before my season, unless I am 100% sure I know where I want to go before that." Whoever Creason chooses, they'll certainly be getting someone who has made a well thought out decision.
