Repp Takes His Trip To Salt Lake City

Caleb Repp made his second visit to see the University of Utah and now has two favorites

Utah has landed two commitments in the last 24 hours and another one could be on the horizon in athlete Caleb Repp out of Rancho Cucamonga (CA) Los Osos who visited officially over the weekend.

"I had a great time at Utah. We got to see the campus and the stadium. The facilities are awesome. I really liked the weight room. It's huge."

The game experience for Repp was an eye-opening experience thanks to the fans.

"The gameday atmosphere was great. The fans were intense and were loud the entire time."

His relationship with quarterback coach Aaron Roderick has been instrumental in Utah both receiving an official visit and the Utes being at the top of his list.

"Coach Roderick is the coach that's recruiting me. I like him a lot because he's really honest and doesn't play games."

Repp doesn't have a position yet if he were to come to Utah and they could end up using him in a variety of ways.

"Utah wants me to come in as kind of an athlete and see where my body goes. They said I could turn into a defensive end like Nate Orchard or maybe a receiver like Kenneth Scott."

The 6'4", 190 pounder is putting the ability to come in right away and play at the top of his list when making a decision.

"I'm looking for a school where I can get playing time so that's most important. Then academics followed by a school with a good football tradition."

With the official visit over, a commitment to either Utah or one other school could be happening soon.

"I'm just going to talk about it with my parents and head coach and see which is the best fit for me. I'm planning on making a decision this week between Utah and Nevada."

Even if Repp does commit, he'd still like to visit a few other schools.

"I'm still planning on taking an official visit to Nevada after the season as well as a visit to UTEP for track. I run the 200, 400 and all of the relays."
