Dalton Picks Up Big Offers

Texas athlete Nate Dalton has seen his stock soar in recent weeks with new offers

Sometimes late is better than never, and that's the case for Texas athlete Nate Dalton who has picked up a couple of Power 5 offers in recent weeks, giving him plenty of options as we hit the home stretch for the 2015 class.

"My recruitment has been going great. I've picked up new offers from Kentucky, Arkansas, Oklahoma State, which was today, and Memphis."

The 6-3, 195 pounder doesn't list any favorites and is open to anyone that wants him.

"I don't have a favorite right now. I've only been on one visit so far to Liberty, but have Oklahoma and Kentucky coming up soon."

Utah has jumped into the picture with Dalton and he's excited to learn more about what they school has to offer.

"I don't know much about Utah right now, but one of their coaches (Scalley) is coming over tonight and we're going to talk. I want to know more about their school and program."

The Utes are pursuing Dalton as a cornerback, but he can also play quarterback, and has offers from the of UNLV and Army to do so.

"Most schools are looking at me as an athlete, but where I play isn't important. I just want to go to a school that will help me develop and get to the next level as well as a school with great academics. Those are the most important things to me."

With only one visit completed, Dalton is in no rush to make a decision.

"I'm not ready to decide yet. I'm going to wait until closer to signing day and after I take more visits before committing.
