Weekend Visit Primer

The Utes host a load of players this weekend up on the hill

School: Placer High School (Auburn, CA)
Height: 6-6
Weight: 270
Ranking (Pos): #NR (OT #152)
Rating:
Capra is committed to Cal, but has opened things up a bit with the loss of some Cal coaches. Jim Harding is making him a priority and a flip is very possible.

School: Mountain Pointe High School (Phoenix, AZ)
Height: 6-4
Weight: 250
Ranking (Pos): #NR (OT #144)
Rating:
Carman is a solid commit to Utah and is at no risk of flipping elsewhere.

School: Gavilan Junior College (Gilroy, CA)
Height: 6-4
Weight: 180
Ranking (Pos): # (WR #)
Rating:
Carter has been adamant about committing to Utah on social media. If the Utes want to take him, he's all theirs and will be a nice fill-in in case commit Brandon Snell doesn't qualify.

School: American Fork High School (American Fork, UT)
Height: 6-3.5
Weight: 270
Ranking (Pos): #NR (OG #44)
Rating:
Utah has been recruiting Empey as long as anyone. His relationship with Jim Harding is very good and the Utes are looking like a solid leader right now for the sign-and-send prospect.

School: Trinity High School (Euless, TX)
Height: 6-0
Weight: 205
Ranking (Pos): #NR (S #152)
Rating:
Kautai has been committed to Utah for a couple of months and is not at risk of flipping elsewhere at this time.

School: Evergreen High School (Vancouver, WA)
Height: 6-1
Weight: 185
Ranking (Pos): #NR (WR #129)
Rating:
Murphy committed to Utah after picking up an offer in the spring. His stock has gone up and other schools have shown interest, but the Utes look to be pretty solid with the receiver out of Washington.

School: Grant Union High School (Sacramento, CA)
Height: 6-6
Weight: 320
Ranking (Pos): #NR (OT #113)
Rating:
Utah got in on Paulo late, but Jim Harding has made an impression on the big kid from Sacramento. Other Pac 12 schools have backed off and that has worked perfectly to Utah's advantage.

School: Tustin High School (Tustin, CA)
Height: 6-3
Weight: 180
Ranking (Pos): #NR (WR #151)
Rating:
Wilson has been committed to Utah for a long time and stuck with it, although a few other Pac 12 schools have come poking around, including UCLA, who is viewing him as a backup in case others fall through. If the Bruins do offer, expect a flip, but the chances of that offer coming aren't great at this time. Boise State might be the bigger concern at this time and they did flip a Utah commit last year in Jeremy McNichols. If there is one Utah commit most likely to end up elsewhere, it's Wilson. He has also officially visited Washington State.
