Utah picked up a pair of big commitments from Fort Lauderdale (FL) St. Thomas Aquinas High School teammates Tyson Cisrow and Chris Hart when they both went public.
We caught up with Cisrow about the commitment and he said that it came to Utah having the best balance of all of the schools he was considering.
"It came down to Utah, Georgia Tech, and Northwestern, but Utah is best for me. The visit was great. I loved the campus and the environment. I talked to the coaches the other day and committed to them."
The relationship both players built with Coach Dennis Erickson was instrumental in landing the duo.
"Coach Erickson has been there for me during the process. He's been honest and open with me about everything and is someone I really trust."
Utah's lack of a defensive coordinator right now didn't deter Cisrow from choosing Salt Lake City as his future home.
"That's ok with me. It's not a big deal. They said I can come in and compete right away at corner and safety and I think I can win a spot to play this year."
Despite the commitment from Cisrow, he will still be taking one more official visit.
"I'm going to be visiting Northwestern this upcoming weekend. The Utah coaches knows and are ok with it."
Per Cisrow, Hart will not be taking anymore visits.
