Cisrow picked the Utes in January over a hoard of schools including West Virginia, Northwestern, Duke, Georgia Tech, and Penn State. Even after his commitment, Cisrow took an official visit to Northwestern, but the pull of playing for Dennis Erickson and with teammate Chris Hart won out in the end and he'll be in Salt Lake City.
A very good athlete with solid speed, Cisrow could end up playing either safety spot. He'll need to add some bulk, but has the frame to eventually get up around 195 pounds and not lose any of his quickness. The quickness instead of the speed is really what makes him a good prospect. Once he gets time with Morgan Scalley to work on his feet and hips, Cisrow should be able to make strides and be an impact player eventually.
2015 Projected Role
Redshirt. Too much depth ahead of him at the safety spots and the Utes need to turn this athlete into a football player before he's ready to hit the field at the D1 level. Cisrow has a high ceiling, but it's going to take some work. Anything other than a redshirt would be a surprise.
Projecting the Newcomers: Tyson Cisrow
