He's not ready to make a decision, but that doesn't mean he's not going to enjoy the recruitment process. Salt Lake City (UT) Brighton's two-way star Sione Heimuli-Lund took in the big game of the week nationally last Thursday when he travelled to Rice-Eccles Stadium to enjoy a battle between two teams that have offered him in Utah and Michigan.
"The game was awesome and the atmosphere was amazing. I had a great time watching two really good teams."
Heimuli-Lund's allegiance for the Thursday night tilt wasn't split though as he ended up rooting for his hometown bretheren.
"I really like both teams, but I was rooting for Utah during the game and they took great care of me. I got to go into the locker room before and after the game and I sang 'Utah Man' with the team. It was a really fun experience."
The 6-1, 225 pounder's recruitment is moving along nicely as he continues to receive interest from many high profile schools and will start to narrow down his list in a few months.
"Notre Dame is the school that has been on me the most lately. I think they might be offering soon. After the season I'll start cutting down my list of schools. The in-state schools like Utah and BYU will definitely be on there."
The Utes have been one of the more active schools during Heimuli-Lund's recruitment with Coach Justin Ena in contact quite a bit.
"I talk to Coach Ena pretty much every day. He always wants to see how I'm doing and is just checking on me. I like him a lot."
This won't be Heimuli-Lund's last trip to Rice-Eccles this season as he has at least two more planned.
"I'm definitely going to be there for the Oregon State game and then the UCLA game for sure. Those will be big games."
