Utah stays number 1 after taking down Cal

USC and Oregon continue their free fall in the rankings

1. Utah (5-0, 2-0)

Not their most complete performance, but Utah made the big plays in taking down Cal and remaining undefeated. Now comes a home date with nemesis Arizona State.

2. Stanford (4-1, 2-0)

The Cardinal were off and will host UCLA, a team they have owned, on Thursday night.

3. Cal (5-1, 2-1)

The Bears gave it everything they had in Salt Lake, but it's hard to win a game when you turn it over 42323 times. They'll take the week off before heading to LA for a matchup with UCLA.

4. UCLA (4-1, 2-1)

The Bruins were off and now get Stanford on Thursday night. Jim Mora is 0-5 against Stanford.

5. Arizona State (4-2, 2-1)

ASU waxed Colorado and will now try to maintain their winning ways in Salt Lake City.

6. Washington (3-2, 1-1)

Washington went into the Coliseum and took down the Trojans in an ugly one.

7. Arizona (4-2, 1-2)

The Bears got back on track by smacking Oregon State.

8. USC (3-2, 1-2)

Sark is in big trouble after the Trojans laid an egg aginst Washington at home. A trip to Notre Dame next could mean a pink slip when he gets home.

9. Washington State (3-2, 1-1)

It's not the same Oregon program, but for Wazzu to go into Eugene and pull out an overtime victory may end up saving Mike Leach's job. They should be able to keep the good times rolling this week at home against Oregon State.

10. Oregon (3-3, 1-2)

How quickly the mighty can fall. The Ducks dropped an overtime game to Washington State at Autzen. Let that sink in.

11. Colorado (3-3, 0-2)

Colorado couldn't hang with ASU in the desert and have now lost 13 straight conference games.
