Arizona Western standout David Luafatasaga’s recruitment has been one of mystery as the soft-spoken linebacker has kept things pretty close to the vest.
The Ole Miss verbal commit took his official visit to Utah this weekend and opened up about his weekend in Salt Lake City.
“It was good – we went snowmobiling which was fun, and the tour of the facility was off the chain.” Said Luafatasaga.”The facilities at Utah are some of the best in the Pac 12.”
The two most important factors for Laufatasaga regarding where he will play division one football are the chance to play early, and a close family atmosphere. Both factors were found in spades by Laufatasaga during his weekend in Utah.
“Utah is really family oriented”, said Laufatasaga, who was hosted on his visit by several Utes, including junior linebacker Sunia Tauteoli, defensive tackle Vaha Vainuku and offensive tackle Darrin Paulo. “It’s probably one of the best visits I’ve had so far.”
The Farrington High School product still considers himself a verbal commit to Ole Miss, but says that “Utah has a great chance”, and “Don’t be too surprised if I signed there.”
