LB Donavan Wilson announces his commitment to Utah

Utah grabs a much needed linebacker as signing day nears

Utah does it again in the state of Florida, this time flipping Florida International commit and linebacker Donovan Thompson following last weekend's visit to Salt Lake City. Florida recruiting analyst Corey Bender had some impressive things to say about the 5 foot 10, 220 pound prospect.

"Donavan Thompson is a kid that was still fairly under recruited. Determined, tenacious, and productive, that's what comes to mind when talking about Thompson. Multi-year starter on a powerhouse Miami Central team. This is a kid that really wants it. Will come and strike you. Good get for the Utes."

Thompson finished his 2015 season with 141 tackles and 12 sacks. He closed out his high school career with nearly 400 tackles.

He's the 24th commitment for Utah in the 2016 class.
