The excitement is starting to build around the Utah football program. First year head coach Urban Meyer has the Utes off to a 1-0 start with a 40-20 victory over arch-rival Utah State this past Thursday and recruiting is starting to pick up already.

Two players from Coffeyville Junior College had already committed to the Utes before yesterday: Paul Solial, OL, 6-4, 335-pounds and Fano Tangovailoa, ATH, 6-2, 200-pounds.

Both players are originally from American Samoa and will be eligible to play for the Utes next year.

Yesterday more good news on the recruiting front came from Paul Kruger, QB/ATH, 6-4, 240-pounds, Orem, Utah, (Timpanogos) when he verbally committed to coach Meyer on the first day that college coaches could start calling prospects once again.

Look for more recruiting news to be posted in the coming days.
