Utah has always recruited California hard and will continue to do so under the direction of head coach Urban Meyer.

With Utah now employing the spread offense wide receivers will be at a premium in recruiting. Utah needs more than 10 wide receivers on the roster to have the quality of depth necessary to fully exploit the offense's potential effectiveness.

One of the California wide receivers to remember with Ute recruiting is Austin Collie. He is enjoying the recruiting process so far and will take a look at the Utes as well as several other West Coast programs.

"I've got offers from Stanford, BYU, Utah, Utah State, UNLV, Colorado, Arizona, Arizona State and Oregon State," Collie said.

Collie would not list a leader at this time, but in the order mentioned, here are the first five schools he talked about: Stanford, BYU, Southern Cal, Washington and Washington State.

Collie does not have any official visits set up at this time and does not appear to be in a hurry to do so.

Collie is Mormon so that should definitely help the Utes cause. He is a great kid all-around and could fit in at virtually any program.
